Finally!

They released the artist schedule for Bonnaroo today. I don't what the hell took them so long, but I'm glad the waiting is over, for that at least. Now I have the next 3 weeks to over scrutinize it trying to plan down to the last minute where I'll be. Which is a joke really, because even if you promise yourself that you'll leave one show early to catch part of another if the show your at rocks it's very hard to leave. Plus when you get to the second if it's already in the middle it's sometimes hard to get into that band when you're thinking about the one you just left. And then there's the shows that you plan to see the whole thing and end up being unimpressed and leaving half way through, although admittedly that doesn't happen too often, usually once a year. There are a few overlaps this year that I knew where inevitable, but it still sucks. Saturday evening Beck, Cypress Hill, Blues Traveler, Les Claypool and Medeski, Martin and Wood all overlap at some point. Les Claypool I can skip, because we're going to see him Fri night with Trey as Oysterhead, Blues Traveler I saw back in the day day and they were good, but I haven't listened to them since, so I can skip them too. I really want to see all of Beck and I'll probably watch the last 45 mintues of Cypress Hill and skip M, M & W, which sucks, but I don't want to miss Beck. The good thing is this is the worst of the overlaps, mostly everything else is on it's own. Oh, except Oysterhead is playing the same time as Nickle Creek -who I really wanted to see, but saw them 3 years ago- and Robert Randolph-who I really wanted to see and can't believe he's playing the same time as Trey Anastasio, but what are you gonna do? Tom Petty is headlining Fri night, Radiohead is Sat, and Phil Lesh is closing the festival Sun. Pretty fucking great line-up if you ask me. Usually there's at least one headliner during the festival that I dont' care too much about, but not this year. There's also alot of awesome late night shows, 12a-4a or later, so I predict alot of lost sleep. You should just go to www.bonnaroo.com and click on the artists and it will bring up the schedule. I can't wait! Three more weeks! Peace out in the hood!

Times ticking

4 weeks from today I'll be chillin' with my homies at the roo. I can't hardly wait. I've got a very ambitious list of shows that I want to see, and if they would ever annouce the line-up I could get on with scheduling my weekend. What is taking so long Bonnaroo website up-daters? We want our line-up and we want it now. There are so many bands I want to see that it's inevitable I'll have to miss some and it's killing me not knowing who I'm going to have to miss. The anticipation!

Oh yeah, I have a myspace profile now too. I've joined the masses, but really it's just a fun way to write inside jokes back and forth with Andrea. Which is fun.
